Hello everyone! Finally, spring is
really here! For me, this spring
is a definitely a time of change
as I hand off the Oneida County
Dairy Princess position to
someone new. I have had the
amazing opportunity to
represent Oneida County’s
number one industry and nature’
s most nearly perfect food
throughout the past year, and
hope I have taught you a little
about dairy products that you
may not have known before. My
involvement has also influenced
me to wish to remain involved in
agriculture, so I will be
attending Cornell University in
the fall to major in animal
science in the hopes of becoming
a large animal veterinarian.
Though I am sad to hand off my
crown, I am very excited to see
who will be representing our
industry to you next, and ensure
you that she will teach you even
more than I did! So remember to
consume 3 servings of dairy
products, especially milk,
cheese, and yogurt, every day in
order to build a strong
foundation of strong bones, lean
muscles, and healthy skin, teeth,
and hair. With milk’s 9 essential

provided that make it truly a
terrific value for your money,
no matter what age you or your
family may be. Consuming dairy
is such an easy way to stay
strong, so simply remember

lifestyle! Here’s an easy recipe
for a breakfast shake to start
your day off right, with dairy!  



Banana Breakfast Shake

1 ½ c. skim milk

1 med. Banana, peeled, sliced,
and frozen

½ tsp. vanilla

¼ tsp. almond extract

Cinnamon for garnish



In a blender, combine all
ingredients except cinnamon.
Blend until smooth, about 20
seconds. Pour into glasses and
garnish with cinnamon. Makes 2
servings. Enjoy!
